i am a big fan of late-night dining. unfortunately, the tampa area is rather limited in its late-night dining options. best of the bunch, of course, is the TACO BUS… but that’s for another day. last night’s adventures took me to our local IHOP, just off of fowler near i75.

of the “big three” chain breakfast places (dennys, village inn, and ihop… waffle house just doesn’t make the list), ihop is my first choice. they tend to be cleaner and have higher-quality food. this ihop in particular is usually pretty nice, but last night our chef was in the zone. i ordered a colorado omelet, and it was exceptional. i didn’t take a picture, but none of the pictures i found through google could do it justice. so much egg. so much meat. perfect. and it came with a stack of three thick, buttery pancakes that were incredible. my only regret is that i couldn’t finish it all.

if you’re looking for a good breakfast at three in the morning, this is the place i recommend.
